ABOUT ME

My name is Marcela Rocío Cuevas. I live in Salta, Argentina and I am a certified English into Spanish translator. I chose to be a translator because I love what it implies: translators bulid bridges of communication to join speakers, to join cultures. We are the carriers of meaning. It is our mission in life, and I try to accomplish it in the most professional way possible.

Passion is the first step towards a successful work. Knowledge and responsibility are what follows. I hold a degree from the Catholic University of Salta. but I keep attending conferences, seminars and workshops. Knowledge has to be updated! I absolutely love reading and keeping up with current affairs. I am a very responsible professional, obsessed with meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy. I can garantee service quality and confidentiality.

2007 - 2009

I started my course of studies in the National University of Córdoba. Unforunately, I had to leave the city and move back to Salta. However and in spite of the short time I spent there, it was and enriching experience which made me grow as a person and as a professional.

Catholic University of Salta

2010 - 2014

After spending some time in Córdoba, I resumed my sudies in the Catholic University of Salta. I was glad to be in my hometown, so everything became more enjoyable. I have two degrees granted by this insitution: Associate's degree in English Translation and Bachelor's degree in English Translation. Throughout the course of studies I found wonderful teachers who taught me how to be a commited professional, and excellent soon-to-be colleagues who were with me every step of the way.
